This practice is an invitation to descend into those places and listen. Not to fix. Not to manage. Not to perform healing. Simply to meet what is alive.
We begin at the heart — the inner place of wise adulthood. The fire that sees clearly without becoming cold, that holds truth and tenderness in the same breath.
Then we move into the belly — the realm of digestion and discernment. Where life gets sorted, translated, and judged. Where the critic lives, trying to preserve order. Listened to closely, without fear, it can soften into deeper intelligence.
Then we sink into the pelvis — the deep fire below. The chamber of instinct, longing, sexuality, vitality, and play. Where old wounds may lodge, and where the body remembers both hurt and aliveness.
This is not a practice of forcing brightness over shadow. It is a practice of companionship. We let each fire speak. We do not rush to interpret. We let sensation become language. We let the body reveal what the mind has been too busy, too defended, or too frightened to hear.
The Meditation
Sit or lie down in a way that allows the body to soften without collapsing. Let the breath come and go on its own. Feel yourself arriving.
The First Fire — Heart
Bring your attention to the chest, the heart area.
Right now, my heart, my chest area feels…
Pause.
And if that sensation were to speak freely through me, it would say…
Pause and listen. Do not edit. Do not improve.
The Second Fire — Belly
Draw attention down into the abdomen, the belly, the place where life is digested and judged.
Right now, my abdomen, my belly feels…
Pause.
And if the sensations in that area were to speak freely through me, they would say…
Let the critic, the sorter, the protector, have its say. Stay close enough to hear it clearly, not to obey it blindly.
The Third Fire — Pelvis
Now sink deeper into the pelvis: the floor, the buttocks, the genitals, the hidden cavern of the body.
Right now, the sensations I am noticing in my pelvis are…
Pause.
And if those sensations were to speak freely through me, they would say…
Let the answer come as image, memory, pulse, ache, heat, emptiness, or desire. Whatever appears belongs.
From this lower fire, let one or more arise
Something I want to do that feels playful is…
A wound I am carrying deep in my body is…
My sexual energy right now feels…
One of my favorite memories of playing as a child is…
The Ascent
Now begin to rise back through the fires.
Returning to the belly
Where in my life would I like things to be more beautiful?
Where would I like life to be more efficient or more effective?
Where in my life would I like to feel more free and open?
Let the belly answer not with theory, but with felt truth.
Returning to the heart
What is the most loving thing I could say to my inner critic until my wounded child is comforted?
What is the most tender, kind thing I could say to myself?
What is the most encouraging thing I could do for myself today?
Let the wise adult speak now. Let the heart answer with warmth, clarity, and steadiness.
Rest there for a few breaths. Let the three fires be known together.
Heart. Belly. Pelvis.
Truth. Discernment. Vitality.
Not separate, but in relationship.
Not perfect, but alive.
